For Parents

Do children create their own accounts?

No. Only adults (18+) create Scene Battle accounts. Children access Scene Battle through child profiles that you create and control inside your adult account. Children never interact with our payment system or account creation flow.

What information do you collect about my child?

We collect only the minimum necessary: a stage name (fictional names are encouraged and strongly recommended), an age band (Under 13, 13–17, or 18+), and sex (Male or Female). We use this solely to assign appropriate script roles. We never collect your child's real name, exact age, email address, phone number, or any payment information.

Can I control which categories my child can access?

Yes, completely. Age bands are enforced automatically — a child in the Under 13 band cannot access Drama Kings & Queens or Grown Up Scene regardless of your settings. Within those automatic limits, you can further restrict which categories are available per child profile.

Will my child's video be posted publicly?

Not without your explicit approval. If a project involves a minor, the default setting is private delivery only — the edited video is emailed back to you and not posted anywhere public. You must actively opt in to public posting at the time of upload.

Can I delete my child's profile and data?

Yes. You can delete any child profile at any time from your dashboard. You can also request full account deletion at any time from Account Settings. We delete all associated data within 30 days of your request.

Are the scripts appropriate for children?

Every script is carefully crafted to be age-appropriate, fun, engaging, and challenging for its intended age band. Young Stars scripts are specifically written for younger performers with simple language and short scenes. Bible Stories scripts are family-appropriate for all ages. Category restrictions prevent children from accessing content above their age band.

About Scene Battle

What exactly do I get when I buy a script?

You receive a complete Director Package including: a professional cover page, quick-start instructions, role assignments, the full timed script, character profiles, costume guide, hair and makeup suggestions, set and lighting guidance, scene-by-scene filming instructions with recommended timing, and an upload checklist. You access this via a mobile script viewer in your dashboard and a downloadable watermarked PDF.

How often do new scripts come out?

One new script per category drops every month. That's four new scripts every month across Bible Stories, Young Stars, Drama Kings & Queens, and Grown Up Scene.

Can I use the same script next month?

Each credit purchase unlocks that month's script for that category. Scripts are tied to the month they are purchased. New scripts each month require a new credit purchase.

How long are the scripts?

Scripts are written as approximately 15-minute mini-dramas, similar in length to a mini-episode. Scene count and exact timing vary by story.

Can participants switch roles?

Yes. Scene Battle assigns roles based on age band and sex as a starting recommendation. Participants are free to switch roles with other crew members if they prefer. This is noted in the Director Package instructions.

Solo vs My Crew

What is a Solo script?

A Solo script is a monologue-style script written for one performer. You play every scene yourself, with implied off-camera characters through dialogue, phone calls, reactions, and staging.

Can the same child do Solo one month and be in a Crew the next?

Absolutely. Your choice of Solo or My Crew can change every month. Each purchase is independent.

What if my crew size changes between months?

No problem. Because each purchase goes through the funnel fresh, you enter your current participants each month. Profiles saved as persistent child profiles in your dashboard are separate from the temporary funnel entries used for each purchase.

Credits & Payment

What are credits?

Credits are how you unlock scripts. Solo Credits ($10 each) unlock solo monologue scripts. My Crew Credits ($20 each) unlock full cast scripts. Credits are purchased by the adult account holder and stored in your account balance. They never expire.

Can I buy credits in advance?

Yes. You can purchase multiple credits at any time and they will remain in your account balance until used.

Are scripts refundable?

Scripts are non-refundable once accessed — this is standard for digital products. Exceptions apply for duplicate charges or verified technical failures on our end. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment processors. Scene Battle never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or expiration date.

Filming & Editing

Do I need professional equipment?

No. A smartphone is all you need. The Director Package includes filming guidance for each scene including camera orientation suggestions and timing. Good lighting and a steady hand make a noticeable difference.

How do I upload my clips?

From your dashboard, go to Upload My Scene. You can upload a Full Episode (all scene clips) or a Single Scene (one clip from your script). Upload slots match your script's scene count.

What is Basic Edit and is it really free?

Basic Edit is our entry-level editing tier and is always free. It produces a complete Scene Battle-branded video. The exact capabilities of Basic Edit depend on our editing provider and whether AI-assisted editing is available. Upgraded and Professional tiers offer better output for a fee.

How long does editing take?

Editing timelines depend on our provider and the volume of submissions. We will communicate expected timelines clearly and update your dashboard status throughout the process.

What happens after my video is edited?

Scene Battle staff reviews every finished video before delivery. Once approved, your video is emailed to you. If you opted into the Scene Battle feed, it is posted to our TikTok and YouTube channels.
